(Bertrand and Azrour, 2004; cited in Cr\u00e9peau and Fleuret, 2017).<\/p>\n<p>This Guide provides a classification and detailed description of reading comprehension strategies. For each of the strategies presented, you will find a definition, the advantages of using the strategy, steps to get started, examples, and suggested exercises to develop your sense of competence.<\/p>\n<p>The classification of reading strategies presented herein was used as a tool in a study that aimed to describe the repertoire of reading strategies of Indigenous student in their first year of university<sup>1<\/sup>, as reported by them.
